INTERNATIONAL DAY OF REMEMBRANCE OF AND TRIBUTE TO THE VICTIMS OF TERRORISM 2022.

 In it's resolution 72/165, on the 19th of December 2017, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), established the lnternational Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism to be commemorated annually on 27th August, in order to honour and support the victims and survivors of terrorism and to promote and protect the full enjoyment of their human rights and fundamental freedoms. The theme for this year's lnternational Day of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism 2022 is: "MEMORIES". On this day, l urge on the Nigerian government to intensify effort and ensure the prompt release of the 23 remaining passengers of the Kaduna Abuja bound train attack still in captivity with the terrorists. And also to use this day to commiserate with families, relations, friends, victims and survivors who have lost their loved ones as a result of terrorist attacks by the boko haram sect, ISWAP, kidnappers and bandit groups in states across Nigeria, and every other captives still in captivity with the terrorist groups across Nigeria. Let us all stand in solidarity with victims of terrorism today and everyday and say no to terrorism in Nigeria.

On 12th December 2012, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) endorsed a resolution urging countries to accelerate progress toward universal health coverage (UHC). The idea that everyone, everywhere should have access to quality, affordable health care, as an essential priority for international development. On 12th December 2017, the united nations proclaimed 12th December as international universal health coverage day (UHC) by resolution (A/RES/ 72/138).
