Today, the 11th of February 2023, marks the 8th lnternational Day of Women and Girls in Science. In order to achieve full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls, and further achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) adopted resolution (A/RES/70/212) declaring 11th February as the lnternational Day of Women and Girls in Science. WORLD INTERFAITH HAMONY WEEK 2023.

World lnterfaith Harmony Week was first designated as an annual observance, from February 1st through February 7th, by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 2010. World lnterfaith Harmony Week was conceived to promote a culture of peace and non-violence, was first proposed by King Abdullah ll of Jordan at the United Nations in 2010. This was quickly adopted by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly (resolution A/RES/65/5), declaring the first week of February each year as World Interfaith Harmony Week, calling on governments, institutions and civil society to observe it with various programs and initiatives that would promote the aim of the World lnterfaith Harmony Week objectives. The General Assembly highlighted the importance of mutual understanding and interfaith dialogue in establishing and promoting a culture of peace.
