UNITED NATIONS (UN) INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS (16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM).

The United nations (UN) set aside 25th November every year to mark the international day for the elimination of violence against women and girls. This day marks the launch of the 16 days of activism which begins from 25th November and will continue till 10th December 2021, which also marks the international human rights day. Since 2000, the United nations (UN) has set aside these days annually to raise global voices and to take actions to put an end to violence against women and girls (VAWG) in all forms by 2030.   The United Nations General Assembly through resolution (A/RES/67/291) declared 19th November every year as World Toilet Day, and this year 2021 is not an exception for every advocate of WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) professionals and civil society actors working in this thematic area all over the world are joining voices together in solidarity on this day to raise the much needed global awareness on toilets, sanitation and personal hygiene.
