COP27 EGYPT 2022.


COP27 Egypt 2022 begins today, from 6th to 18th of November 2022. Global leaders, journalists, civil society activists, critical stakeholders and the global community will meet to discuss global issues and challenges bordering on climate change, to come up with sustainable policies and treaties to drive the implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation to save the planet.

THE LAUNCHING OF THE CLIMATE RESPONSES FOR SUSTAINING PEACE (CRSP) 2022.

Prior to the kick off of the COP27 in Sharm EL Sheikh Egypt, the Climate responses for sustaining peace (CRSP) was launched on the 27th October, 2022 as a blueprint to achieving the climate responses objectives and goals and to achieve sustainable global peace.

WORLD DAY FOR THE PREVENTION OF, AND HEALING FROM CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION, ABUSE AND VIOLENCE 2022.

On 7th November 2022, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) through resolution (A/RES/77/8) voted to recognize November 18th as World Day For The Prevention Of, And Healing From Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse And Violence which was introduced by first lady of Sierra Leone, Ms Fatima Maada Bio. In her address to the Assembly, Ms Bio said that the prevalence of child sexual abuse contribute to the global burden of disease and adversely impacts economic and social development, particularly in developing nations. The resolution was sponsored by Sierra Leone and Nigeria and co-sponsored by more than 120 countries. The resolution was adopted at the 77th United Nations  Assembly (UNGA) under Agenda item 131 "sexual exploitation and abuse: implementing a zero-tolerance policy".
