EUROPE DAY 2022.

Today, the 9th of May 2022 is celebrated as Europe Day. This day marks the achievement of Europe and the signing of the Schuman Declaration on May 9th 1950, which aimed to secure long term peace in post-war Europe. On this day, seventy-two years ago, the signing of the Schuman Declaration took place. This declaration proposed the pooling of hands together of France and West Germany's coal and steel industries. This major collaboration was a big leap forward towards European union cooperation. On 9th May 1950, Europe took the first step to foster relationships instead of rivalries, to prioritize dialogue over brute force. It was an ambitious project without precedent in Europe history. That is when the journey of the European union began. Peace is our daily goal that has been achieved, thanks to the determination of many Europeans. They believed that nothing is more valuable than the unification of Europe. In this seventy-two years long journey, the European union has united countries from all around Europe in a successful efforts to maintain peace and thrive together as one. On Europe day, we celebrate peace and unity throughout Europe, being hand in hand for protection of humanity.

WORLD HABITAT DAY 2024.

The United Nations designated the first Monday of October of every year through resolution (A/RES/40/202/A) as World Habitat Day to reflect on the state of our habitats, and on the basic rights of all to adequate shelter. The day is intended to remind the world that we all have the power and the responsibility to shape the future of our cities and towns. It is also intended to remind the world of its collective responsibility for the future of the human habitat. World Habitat Day was first celebrated in 1986 with the theme "Shelter is My Right". THE RISING INSECURITY CHALLENGES IN NIGERIA.

  For over a decade now, Nigeria has been battling with overcoming her insecurity challenges.
