The United Nations General Assembly by the resolution (A/RES/75/27) have designated 27th December as lnternational Day of Epidemic Preparedness and invite us to observe the lnternational Day of Epidemic Preparedness annually in an appropriate manner and in accordance with national contexts and priorities, through education and awareness raising activities, and to highlight the importance of the prevention of, preparedness for and the partnership against epidemic. Comrade Enobong Ekwere is a social influencer, blogger, vlogger, environmental/ human rights activist, peace practitioner, grassroot social mobilizer, SDGs advocate and a global citizen. In 1996, pursuant to an ICAO initiative and with the assistance of the Canadian Government, the United Nations General Assembly officially recognized 7th December as lnternational Civil Aviation Day in the United Nations system through resolution (A/RES/51/33). The purpose of lnternational Civil Aviation Day is to help generate and reinforce worldwide awareness of the importance of international civil aviation to the social and economic development of states, and the unique role of ICAO in helping states to cooperate and realize a truly global rapid transit network at the service of all mankind.
